ENTRY DOCUMENTS. Most foreign guests can enter the Philippines visa-free for up to 30 days. Just ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months and that you have a return or onward ticket.
CURRENCY. Local currency is Philippine Peso (PHP). ATMs are available but can be limited in Panglao Island. Some establishments accept cards, but cash is still best for small shops, local transport, and tips. Money changers are available at Manila, Cebu, and Panglao airports.
CONNECTIVITY. SIM cards and pocket Wi-Fi are available at the airport or malls in Manila/Cebu. Most resorts offer Wi-Fi, but signal can be patchy in remote areas.
WEATHER. Expect warm, tropical weather in November–December (28–31°C). Bring light clothes, swimwear, sun protection, and a shawl or umbrella for brief showers.
ESSENTIALS. Power plugs are Type A/B (US-style), 220V. Most locals speak English. Travel time from the airport to resorts is about 15–30 minutes.
Bohol is a treasure trove of natural beauty and adventure. Spend your days island hopping to pristine white-sand beaches like Balicasag, Virgin Island, and Pamilacan. Snorkel or dive through vibrant coral reefs, spot sea turtles, and witness the incredible sardine run up close. Go dolphin watching at sunrise, chase hidden waterfalls inland, and visit the world’s smallest primate—the wide-eyed, tree-clinging Philippine tarsier. Then wrap up your day with some of the freshest seafood you’ll ever taste. Whether you're after marine life, wildlife, or laid-back beach days, Bohol delivers.
